Birth of FCF
January 1999

Welcome to FCF9.  Starting back in January of 1999, FCF was simply an archive of the stories me and some other people wrote in the PokéWars, a newsgroup fanfic.  Since then, FCF has grown into a very rich and colorful Caterpie shrine.  Here you will find over 100 episodes about a young pokémon trainer named Icy, and many other stories.

As of August 29th, 2000, I have ceased all updates to this site.  After over one and a half years, I have now moved on to work on game programming and my other career interests.  I thank all my fans for their loving support because without them, FCF could never have been such a wonderful thing for me to be part of.  Please enjoy your visit here.

MY NEW SITE INFORMATION:  For those interested in seeing my newest web project and the latest games and technology I am developing, goto http://www.kooltechgames.com/.  Hope to see some of you there ^.^

Notice About the Site
First off, all technologies shown here are mine and may not be reused without my consent.  To enforce this, all code has now been fully encrypted.  The second thing is, please do not ask to run this site for me.  I didn't stop updating it because I couldn't make time, I stopped because I was ready to stop.  I will never give FCF away to anyone, understood.  Next issue.  Please stop asking to affiliate with FCF.  Notice the site is closed?  That means that I no longer update it.  Furthermore, I won't add or remove links, even if they get outdated.  Final issue.  Please stop asking to be hosted.  First off, I can't host domains even if I wanted to, and second, I am not running this site any more, so you are talking to the wrong website/webmaster.  Please find someone else to host you or buy hosting like I did with my new site.
Once again, I thank all of you for continuing to visit this site even after it has closed.  I hope you all have gone to at least visit my new site, http://www.kooltechgames.com/ and had the chance to preview my game I am writing, Adel's Fantasy.

Best wishes, and I hope you all do well.

FCF Updates Cease
I regret to inform you all of this, but after over a year and half of writing stories and producing FCF, I am going to cease updating it.  FCF will not close until either Jaxel kicks me off, or my domain registration runs out, so you can all still read the stories and other content here.  The message board will also continue to function.

I know you are all upset at this decision, but please know that none of you caused it, I am just ready to move on with my life and continue into programming and designing games which is my prospective career.  I will be creating a new website, one that will hopefully make FCF look like old news even, but this one will cover the game and any other programs I develop.  Once the new site is up, I will publish it's location if any of you are interested in seeing what I can program, but as for pokémon and stories, I think I've seen and done it all...

I'm aware I didn't really finish the series, in fact in retrospect, I wish I hadn't started Season 5, only because I'll never actually write the ending.  I know how it ends, how it began, and everything in the middle, but now, I can't get myself to write it...

I have made up my mind on this, but your comments and concerns are still welcome.  I know you are all going to hate this day, but, as Q so cleverly put it, "All Good Things must come to an end..."  And so, I hope that through my stories and designs, I have made an impact on some of you, made you happy, laugh, cry, ect.  You have all made FCF very special to me, and I am very glad to call all of you my friends.  So this is it...  The final chapter of FCF is written, but at least I can say that I will never regret the day I started it, and I hope you will let me never regret the day I ended it.  I wish you all well and best of luck in all that you do.

Sincerely,
Josh Douglass - Webmaster of FCF

My Thoughts on FCF
Since it's creation, FCF never really served any purpose, in my mind, but to archive the stories I and some friends wrote about Pokémon.  But now, as I look at all things considered, what's is the point of my efforts.  I spent 3 months recreating my site, and in 1 week, the code was stolen.  So maybe not my stories, but what I care even more about, my technology, was disrespected.  It's gotten me to think about if I want to continue this.  But that's not even close to the reason I want to end this.
You are all saying, no Icy, don't leave, what about the story.  That's the other thing.  See, I know the story already, because I'm the one who will write it.  I control it's destiny and outcome, no one else.  So it really doesn't interest me that much.
Also, I spend so much time on this, I cannot get around to programming games which is what I want to do.  But I also like to see people happy, but what about me.  Continuing FCF is not making me happy anymore, it's a burden.  So, I am not saying FCF will die, but I want to hear, in your own words, why I should set aside still more of my time, to write more stories, and to continue FCF's development.  If you can come up with enough compelling reasons, I may continue, but if not, I have served my purpose with FCF.  I made each of you experience something I worked very hard to create, and you did enjoy it.  I thank you all for that.  If you care to write, please send to icypikachu@caterpieforest.com.  Not anymore though...
